Residents of Batavia and Batavia Township can sign up to be clients of the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry and Clothes Closet. Families can shop once per month for food (which includes shelf stable goods, fresh breads, produce, paper products, personal care items, dairy, deli, and frozen meat) and twice per month for clothing (which includes shoes, small houseware items, blankets, and bedding). Cars of Hope - CHIP IN works with Cars of Hope, based in Naperville, to donate vehicles to those in need of reliable transportation. Cars of Hope is always looking for donated vehicles. All vehicles are accepted — running or not. Vehicles that are not appropriate for donation are sold; proceeds from those sales pay to repair other vehicles. Congregational Church of Batavia: Batavia Legal Aid Clinic

The Batavia Legal Aid Clinic works with Administer Justice, a nonprofit organization who partners with churches to provide low-cost legal aid. You do not need to be a member of the Congregational Church of Batavia to seek the help of these services. While the attorneys do not represent our clients, they advise on appropriate legal steps, how to find the appropriate forms and instructions, whether the client can handle the matter his or herself, and other recommendations on legal processes.

The clinic is open every 2nd Tuesday of the month, from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm. Open appointments are available. Call (855) 818-4554 for an appointment. The Congregational Church of Batavia is located at 21 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia.

Restore (Habitat for Humanity) 

The Holmstad - Covenant Living Retirement Center Home Store located in Batavia on Fabyan Parkway and Route 31 is a great place to buy quality used furniture and home furnishings. The Home Store is open every Saturday 10-2 pm. Enter on the Fabyan Parkway side of the campus and park near the canopy in numbered spots marked “V” for Visitors. Currently they have four rooms stocked (one upstairs and three downstairs) with quality used items and many have red tags priced to sell. There are also frequent inventory changes.
