Spring Updates
Celebrating our 9th year helping families!
IT WAS A SUCCESSFUL PROM DRESS GIVEAWAY!
We held our event on March 12, at the Kane Vax Hub, thanks to the Kane County Health Department. We had a lot of great volunteers, and our partnership with the Batavia Public Library was fantastic. We had over 1,000 dresses donated (many from 2020, when we could not hold the giveaway for 2 years). Over 500 dresses were given away at the event. Another 400 were donated to East Aurora HS, Chicago schools, All Dressed Up (the ones students and their moms would not wear!!!). We kept a few boxes for next year. All the shoes, jewelry and accessories were given out. Thank you to so many that donated such beautiful dresses & accessories!

THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY!
We are so grateful for all the love and support we get from our community and partners. We could not do this without you. We work with many local service groups, churches to combine efforts to do the maximum we can to help. Thank you to the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry/Clothes Closet, Chapelstreet Church, St. Vincent de Paul, Salvation Army, Batavia Township, local churches and so many businesses and individual donors. We are in touch with Mutual Ground, TriCity Family Services and Lazarus House, to share furniture donations. Local businesses donate gift cards, services and meals…it is amazing! And thank you to The Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence, for being our administrator….a special thank you to Ashley Murtaugh and Lindsey Williams. We are at the end of our 9th year, and will be here to help for as long as help is needed.
One example: Daddio’s Diner provides 2-4 families with meals EVERY WEEK, since January 2021, with their Pay It Forward Program! Amazing. Thank you Scott and Terry!!!
